Grammy-nominated Gospel recording artist James Fortune was arrested Friday, October 24th for aggravated assault of a family member. He was later released on $20,000 bond, according to staffers at the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s office.
In the meantime, James Fortune has voluntarily taken a leave of absence from The James Fortune Show to focus on his family. During James’ absence, Stellar Award winning artist Isaac Carree will be filling in LIVE from Atlanta. Isaac guest hosted The James Fortune Show last week to much acclaim and success.
Fortune had this to say about his arrest:
I am truly sorry for the negative attention this situation has brought my wife, family, friends and business partners. Because it is a pending legal matter, I cannot comment on what has been reported. However, I understand the seriousness of this matter and ask that you respect the privacy of my family as we address this together. I would also like to thank my fans for their continued outpouring of love and support.”
Let’s continue to keep the Fortune family uplifted in prayer.
