Jamie Foxx Talks About the Important Role Fred Hammond’s Music Played in the New Movie DJANGOThe new blockbuster movie ‘Django’ starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, Samuel L. Jackson, and Kerry Washington hits theaters on Christmas Day.

On TV shows Jay Leno and Jimmie Kimmel, actor Jamie Foxx recalls telling director Quentin Tarantino to put the Gospel great Fred Hammond’s song “No Weapon” in the movie.

Foxx said the song doesn’t play for long, but it’s at a key point in the movie that moved director Quentin Terrantino to tears while shooting the film.
