Tasha Cobbs-Leonard has described
William Murphy as an early influencer of her music, and she’s described
CeCe Winans as a mentor. Both were in attendance at the Hurricane Harvey Relief Gospel concert held last week in Houston.

The free concert was put on by New Light Church and aired LIVE on the WORD Network. The telethon treated Gospel fans to some of the best Gospel artists in music which included,
Tasha Cobbs-Leonard, CeCe Winans, William Murphy III, Pastor Charles Jenkins, James Fortune, Preashea Hilliard,
Gene Moore, and
Tim Bowman Jr. The show was hosted by
Irishea Hilliard and
John Gray, and featured a public address by Houston Congresswoman
Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas).
[Supplies were given out to Houstonians in need after hurricane Harvey]
The festivities kicked off with a supply drive, where hundreds of Hurricane Harvey victims were able to come and get much needed supplies, clothes, and free food.

PATH publisher Kris Patrick interviewed organizer Pastor Irishea Hilliard, who shared her passion for helping those affected by the storm, and their long-term vision for getting the overcomers back on their feet.
