Fear & Procrastination – the Mother and Father of Defeat By Franyora Clophus

I was elated to speak with the founder of Path Magazine and find out that he thought I had the potential to become a blogger on his website. As I put the finishing touches wrapping my sisters huge box of Paula Dene pots I got for her for Christmas (on sale I might add), Kris and my conversation came to a close. Continue reading

The Powerful Influence of Woman By: Franyora Clophus

“Take a taste of this, bae.” I gently said as I held a spoon of food up to my boyfriend’s mouth. He is a very particular eater, and being a southern woman, my mind still has a hard time comprehending that everyone is not as open to different types of southern cuisine as I am. Needless to say, he took a bite of the mustard greens cooked from scratch, with deer sausage and taso. I watched as his eyes gazed upward while he savored the taste. I held my breath in anticipation of his response. He said, “It’s okay” in a calm, still unsure type voice. With a sigh of relief on my part, I felt a small victory towards cooking food that he would even try, eat and eventually like. A few weeks later, we began a conversation about Adam and Eve and I brought up the point of Adam being given dominion and Eve being given the power of influence. The Power is in his Promise! By: Leticia Jones

Has God ever promised you anything?

My Sisters, I am blessed and honored to be able to testify to you this morning about the promises of God fulfilled in my life.  Tuesday June 2nd was my third and last major surgery involving facial reconstruction. I am doing well and plan to see you all soon!

As most of you know I was diagnosed with having aggressive cysts and a tumor growing in my jaw early last year. When the doctors told me that my jaw had been broken beyond repair and would have to be replaced and reconstructed, I was devastated. When they explained that I would have to undergo bone and skin grafting from my rib, hip and stomach. Place a steel bar in my chin and wire my jaws shut for months, it was more than I could bear to imagine. Continue reading
