This week on the Billboard Gospel charts we have quite a surprise at the top as Minneapolis, Minnesota native Jovonta Patton takes #1 with “Finally Living.” The singer credits social media sales and selling out of his trunk at church services for the stunning sales debut.
Coming in second is old faithful compilation “Wow Gospel 2016” that continues to be among the top grossing albums for six months now. William Murphy comes in at #3 with “Demonstrate.”
In the world of Gospel radio, the top song belongs to Hezekiah Walker with “Better.”
On the Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) side of things the top album belongs to Need To Breathe with “Hardlove.” The high sales narrowly beats out CCM mainstay Hillsong United, who comes in at #2 with “Of Dirt and Grace.”
The top CCM song belongs to Ryan Stevenson with “Eye of the Storm.” Jeremy Camp is second with the song “Christ in Me.”
