[Yolanda Adams is coming back to radio]
After no Sunday Best in 2016, Adams (who judges) says the show will be back for a ninth season in 2017. Silence from BET, led many to believe the show was cancelled after a 2015 All Star Edition seemed to offer closure of some sort for the popular contest that began in 2007. “We have not been cancelled so thank the lord for that!” Adams tells AJC.com.
Adams recently lost her Radio One morning slot to Mary Mary star Erica Campbell. Adams announced that The Yolanda Adams Show will be back on the air beginning October 3rd.
“We are so excited that our voices will be heard again to impact the world at such a time in history. Our voices impact people’s hearts to invoke awareness, encouragement and change. We are honored and humbled for all the support and love. We promise to give it back in great measure,” says Yolanda Adams.

The all-new “Yolanda Adams Morning Show” will return with co-host Marcus Wiley and feature fan favorite segments, Points of Power, Inside Inspiration, Bishop Secular and Yolanda’s Take. Additionally, Marcus “Montana” Ecby will return as the show’s executive producer. It is unclear whether Anthony “AV” Valary will return. Valary is currently on the air for Houston’s Majic 102.1FM.
