Music World Gospel Releases Brian Courtney Wilson’s New CD Project, So Proud In Stores February 7, 2012

Mathew Knowles’ Music World Gospel will release Brian Courtney Wilson’s new CD project, So Proud, in stores and available online everywhere on February 7, 2012.

The CD cover of So Proud, the highly-anticipated new project from gospel sensation Brian Courtney Wilson, features a picture of Wilson as a baby wearing headphones. For Wilson, that serves as a reminder of both the theme of his album and the driving force of his career. “Before my mom and dad knew I was going to be a singer, God had given them a promise to nurture into the person that I am today,” he says. “We are all given some promise, some vision for our future that we have to nurture, endure hard times for, and always believe in.” Wilson has nurtured his promise into a remarkable career in music ministry. Since the release of his debut CD, Just Love, Wilson has been touted as one of gospel music’s contemporary break-through artists of 2010 and 2011. “So Proud will be another breakthrough project for Brian and Music World Gospel,” says Mathew Knowles, founder, President and CEO of Music World Entertainment. “Brian’s devoted followers will be very pleased and he’s sure to capture new supporters with this project.”

The inspiration for this project came three years ago when Wilson penned “So Proud,” the title song and the CD project’s first single. The song is about remembering…remembering the reasons why you should keep going when the days seem the hardest…remembering your value when people cast you aside…remembering the people who did not give up on you whenyou feel like giving up on yourself…and most of all, it’s about remembering that the reason we have so much to remember is because God has always been there to make a way through the people in our lives.”

This week, Wilson’s current single, “So Proud” moves to #20 on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs chart with +130 spins, and #18 on the Gospel Indicator chart. “So Proud” had two new radio adds at WUFO- AM (Buffalo, NY) and WGRB-AM (Chicago, IL). The single is now available on over 150 digital and streaming outlets.Wilson believes God gave him “So Proud” when he was feeling especially discouraged and needed to remember the way to go. He knew then that the song would anchor his next project, and his goal for the rest of the album was to assemble a group of songs that would convey what it means to live in God’s promise. Wilson wrote or collaborated on most of the songs, and served as co-producer for all of the tracks on the CD. “It’s important to me that people see this as a body of work,” says Wilson. “We’re really trying to tell a story about believing in the promise, pressing through to realize the promise and protecting the promise. I am praying that the songs on the album will encourage the world the way they have encouraged me.” So Proud features 12 new songs. The album is produced by Stan Jones and co-produced by Brian Courtney Wilson with additional song producer’s credit by Aaron Lindsey and P.J. Morton.

Wilson’s new single, “He Still Cares,” which will impact gospel radio on January 23, was written by Stan Jones, who considers this song an extension of “All I Need,” the mega hit that he penned for Wilson’s first album. The message is that even when you’ve had a touch from the Master, you still may go through trials and tribulation. But you must believe that God still cares for you, and He will give you what you need, when you need it, to make it through.

Wilson kicked off his promotional tour in Dallas, Texas on Sunday, January 8, at two churches: Word of Truth Family Church (Eben and Sara Conner, Senior Pastors) and Mt. Hebron Missionary Baptist Church (Leonard O. Leach, Senior Pastor). In addition, Wilson ministered in song for the 50th Birthday Celebration of Dr. Renee Hornbuckle, Senior Pastor of Agape Christian Fellowship. The promo tour continues and will include visits in Little Rock, AR and Memphis, TN (Wednesday, January 11). Wilson will be in Nashville to attend the various Stellar Awards Weekend activities. On Friday, January 13, he will attend the BMI 13th Annual Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards Luncheon, as well as other pre-concert events that evening. On Saturday, January 14, Wilson will resume the promo tour in St. Louis, MO for an event with the American Heart Association. He heads back to Nashville, TN on Sunday, January 15, to perform, along with DeWayne Woods, Myron Butler, Lowell Pye and others, at the Post Stellar Awards Concert at the Crystal Fountain Church. The weekend activities will be followed by dates in Chattanooga, TN and Huntsville, AL (Monday, January 16); Montgomery, AL and Columbus, GA (Tuesday, January 17); Atlanta, GA (Wednesday, January 18); and Phoenix, AZ (Thursday, January 19). On Friday, January 20, Wilson will open for Marvin Sapp in concert at the Arena Theatre in Houston, TX and will remain in Houston through Wednesday, February 1 for various promotional activities. Wilson will continue his promo tour in Lake Charles, LA and Lafayette, LA (Thursday, February 2,); followed by Baton Rouge (Friday, February 3); New Orleans, LA (Saturday, February 4 and Sunday, February 5); Houston, TX (Tuesday, February 7); and Beaumont, TX (Wednesday, February 8).

So Proud follows Wilson’s debut CD, Just Love, which entered at #2 on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart and #6 on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart. The CD has remained at #1 on Christian Music Trade Association’s (CMTA) Inspirational Albums chart for 52 weeks. Since its release in June 2009, the CD held steady in the Top 20 on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart for over 90 weeks—longer than any other CD title on Billboard’s Top 50 that year [2010].

Bishop TD Jakes to be on ‘Oprah’s Next Chapter’

The Oprah Winfrey Network confirmed Tuesday that as part of her new primetime series, “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” Winfrey will interview Bishop T.D. Jakes, founder and senior pastor of The Potter’s House in Dallas, Texas.

“The series, which features Oprah as she steps outside of the studio for riveting, enlightening and in-depth conversations with newsmakers, celebrities, thought leaders and real-life families, will expand to air part two of her in-depth interviews starting Monday, January 30,” the network announced.

Winfrey will be visiting Jakes at his 30,000-member church, but the network did not reveal when the visit will be made nor when the recording of her visit with the megachurch pastor would air. Jakes, also an author and filmmaker, broadcasts his sermons on “The Potter’s Touch,” which airs on a variety of Christian broadcasting networks, including Trinity Broadcasting Network and Black Entertainment Television.

According to the Dallas pastor’s official website, Jakes has been named “America’s Best Preacher” by Time Magazine and ranks among the 25 Most Influential African-Americans.

Winfrey previously interviewed televangelist Joel Osteen, pastor of Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas.

If Jakes’ interview is anything like Osteen’s, viewers will be discussing the episode long after it airs. In their Jan. 8 interview, Winfrey questioned Osteen on his ego, the criticism he receives from both nonbelievers and believers, and his monetary income.

Besides Jakes, Winfrey will also follow actor and humanitarian Sean Penn to Haiti to observe his earthquake relief efforts at the nongovernmental organization J/P Haitian Relief Organization. She will also delve into the highly private and traditional communities of Hasidic Jews in Borough Park and Crown Heights in the NYC borough of Brooklyn, as well as have a slumber party with Southern cook Paula Deen at her Georgia estate.

“Oprah’s Next Chapter” has given a ratings boost to the struggling Oprah Winfrey Network. The special’s Jan. 1 premiere drew in 1.1 million viewers, making it the highest-rated premiere on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

The two-part series airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET and Mondays at 10 p.m. ET, beginning Jan. 30.

Integrity Music and Christ for the Nations Institute Announce Partnership 37 Album Set For Global Release February 28th

For the first time in its 40-plus year history, CFN Music, the music and publishing arm of Christ For The Nations Institute, will partner with Integrity Music to market and distribute music and video recordings.

With music industry notables like Kari Jobe, Nicole C. Mullen, Russ Taff, Tommy Walker and Kevin Jonas (father and manager of the Jonas Brothers), among its alumni, it is no surprise that Christ for the Nations has already produced a vast catalog of music. In fact, the Dallas-based Bible school/music program has recorded an amazing 37 albums, with its most recent, appropriately titled 37, set to be the first release in the new partnership on February 28.

With over 40,000 graduates, CFNI has always been a fertile ground for worship leaders and songwriters who are saturated in an environment of passionate worship, prayer and Bible study. And CFN Music has been producing live albums that feature its students, staff, and alumni since 1974. Those albums include songs and appearances from artists like Jobe, Mullen and Taff along with others such as Thomas Miller (Gateway Church), Marty Nystrom and Klaus Kuehn, all of whom have studied and led worship at CFNI.

The songs “No Sweeter Name,” “Revelation Song,” “When I Think About the Lord,” “As The Deer,” “We Prepare The Way,” “My Romance,” “You, You Are God,” “The More I Seek You,” “The Lord Reigns,” “Song of Ezekiel,” “My Soul Longs,” and many more were first recorded at CFNI and written by staff, faculty, students and alumni.

“For many years, Christ for the Nations Institute has made a historical impact in the worldwide worship community,” said C. Ryan Dunham, president of Integrity Music. “It’s been our desire to work with Christ for the Nations to cultivate, harvest and share with the global Church the powerful worship songs of substance and experiences being birthed out of the school, its students and leadership. With the release of 37, we believe that this is the beginning of a new season of increased influence for CFN Music and its worship ministry.”

“CFNI has a long history of training, equipping and recording worshipers and servants of the Kingdom,” said Alex MacDougall, managing director of CFN Music. “And our music is well-known within missionary and ministry circles. Now, with the release of 37, Integrity offers CFN Music an opportunity to take its worship to the church worldwide. It’s an exciting time.”

37 will be a combined CD and DVD release to both Christian retail and digital outlets. The project was recorded live at CFNI and features CFN’s worship director Gabriel Allred along with worship leaders Jared Ellis, Francisca Arenas, Alex Bennefield, Chris Martin and Jonathan Lewis. CFN independently released 37 last year, but February 28 marks its world-wide retail release.

“Christ For The Nations’ long, rich history in worship means that with every song sung and expression given, we stand on the shoulders of the generations that have stood here and praised the same God. Our worship is not new, it’s ancient — a fire of legacy that will always burn,” explains Gabriel Allred.

Craig Dunnagan, Integrity’s vice president of Music Publishing and Worship Resources adds: “Integrity is excited to join in harvesting this fertile ground for the Kingdom of God, blessing the Church with the songs and sounds of worship birthed in young hearts from around the world who come to Dallas to be trained and equipped for ministry.”

Kingsway and Integrity Music are the music divisions of David C Cook, a nonprofit global resource provider serving the Church with life-transforming materials. Headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Kingsway’s and Integrity’s resources are distributed in more than 160 countries and sold worldwide. TD Jakes’ New Movie “Woman Thou Art Loosed: On the 7th Day” Trailer Released: New Movie Stars Blair Underwood

The trailer for Bishop T.D. Jakes’ upcoming film, “Woman Thou Art Loosed: On the 7th Day” was recently released online and offers viewers a preview of a highly emotional tale of suspense and spirituality.

Jakes’ film adaptation of the self-help novel he authored takes viewers through a plethora of emotions. The movie trailer begins with Blair Underwood playing with his 6-year-old daughter, whom actress Sharon Leal discovers is missing only a few short moments into the trailer’s progression.

Underwood, who plays father and husband David Ames to Leal’s character, Kari, is seen going through emotional anguish due to marital issues and the apparent abduction of his daughter. Leal is also emotionally charged in search of her daughter, whom the couple believes was taken by a serial killer who murders his victims seven days after capturing them.

The words “lies,” “deception,” and “murder” flash on the screen, leaving the audience in suspense, with quick cuts to other scenes that bring attention to Kari’s possible extramarital affair.

The film will be the first under a multi-year partnership deal between AMC Theaters and Codeblack Entertainment, a new media and film company marketing to urban audiences. The deal secures Codeblack’s releases to play exclusively in specific AMC locations.

Nikkole Denson-Randolph, vice president of Specialty and Alternative Content of AMC Theaters, said the partnership will be great exposure for the upcoming film.

“The partnership with Codeblack will bring needed exposure to films like ‘Woman Thou Art Loosed!: On The 7th Day’ that reach a key demographic among our guests,” said Denson-Randolph in an AMC press release. “We look forward to expanding on this already successful collaboration.”

The film’s stars include Blair Underwood, Leal, Pam Grier and Nicole Beharie and was directed by Emmy Award winner Neema Barnette. “Woman Thou Art Loosed” will be the second film release inspired by Jakes’ self-help series, after a 2004 adaptation of his works.

“Woman Thou Art Loosed: On the 7th Day” is scheduled for an April 13th release.

New Artist Cheneta Jones Makes Bold Statement with New Release ‘Transformed’: CD available April 3, 2012

Fresh, Expressive, Melodic and Confident are perfect words to describe new artist Cheneta Jones. Yes, it’s true that she is the lead background singer for Tye Tribbett. However, Cheneta’s individual vocal and musical style speaks volumes for her as a solo artist.

Ms. Jones’ standout vocal ability is no secret to the gospel community and industry, for she has ministered on TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network), opened up for Fred Hammond, John P. Kee, Donnie McClurkin, Deitrick Haddon, Lisa McClendon, Marvin Sapp, just to name a few and made much noise as the winner of KATZ Hallelujah 1600’s Praise Alive

Cheneta has garnered much wisdom from her musical experiences with many great gospel artists and has incorporated it into her own music style. Now, as a solo artist with Real Talent Media Group, the world will experience the anointed and fresh sound of Ms. Cheneta Jones, on her upcoming 2012 release, Transformed.

Real Talent Media Group recently signed a distribution deal with Habakkuk Music, home of Lisa Page Brooks, Gail Holmes and known for distributing projects for Kevin Levar, Papa San, James Grear & Company and others. The union between Real Talent Media Group and Habakkuk Music will be tremendous aid in launching Cheneta’s career.

Cheneta’s upcoming release Transformed includes the songs, “Turn Back”, I’m Yours”, “Liberty”, “My Everything”, “Be Like You” and the 2012 praise and worship anthem “We Worship You”.

“My Everything”, an inspiring and pure ballad, penned and produced by the award winning Percy Bady has received rave reviews and much love at radio.

Jones’ current radio single “Be Like You” speaks directly to God, in awe of who He is, with a desire to be all that He is. This song is a true gem and the lyrics simply say, “I Wanna Walk Just Like You, Talk Just Like You, Live Just Like You, Give Just Like You”. There is no doubt that “Be Like You” is a true cry from Cheneta’s heart to God.

In its entirety, Transformed showcases Cheneta’s ability to relate to listeners through reflective songs inspired by her personal life experiences.

“I want listeners to hear a song and reflect on how it applies to their life, she says. My upcoming project will entail numerous personal experiences and my growth as a maturing Christian. ―I’ve been through a lot in the last two years and have overcome many obstacles, so this new album is very relatable and expresses my love for Jesus as literally being my everything.”-Cheneta Jones
