MANIC DRIVE’S CD “VIP” Tops the Billboard Christian Rock Charts
In less than a month since the release of MANIC DRIVE’s independent project VIP, the title track has hit the #1 spot on the Billboard Christian Rock charts. The song made the impressive jump up from # 5 last week knocking LeCrae “Nuthin” out of the # 1 spot after just one week on top of the chart. This Week’s Billboard Top 10 Gospel CDs: Michelle Williams Debuts at #2, Lecrae #1
This week rapper Lecrae has shocked the world by not only debuting on top of the Christian/Gospel chart, but also on top of the secular Billboard Top 200. Only a handful of Christian Contemporary artists have ever achieved this, and no Gospel artist has ever outsold the music industry debuting #1 in the top 200 until now. The album sold 88,000 copies in it’s first week, trumping his 2012 ‘Gravity’ release where he debuted first weeks sales of 72,000 copies. Read the full post »
